MANILA, Philippines – The low pressure area (LPA) east of Visayas has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility, while the southwest monsoon continues to affect Luzon.

The LPA was last spotted 690 km east of Visayas (), the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 24-hour public weather forecast Sunday, September 2.

The whole country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms, the bureau said.

Western sections of southern Luzon and Visayas, in particular, will have cloudy skies with widespread rain.

Moderate to strong winds will mainly be coming from the southwest to west over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to south. – Rappler.com
